Commercial Department

The Commercial & Corporate Department deals with all aspects of company and employment law as well as offering civil litigation and personal injury legal services to both local business and private clients.

The department is run by Gordon Wheeler who is one of the three Partners of Camerons Jones and has more than thirty years experience in company and business legal issues. He is assisted by a highly experienced and efficient secretary who will always be on hand to help you with any query you may have on your case if Gordon is unavailable.

The department will be able to meet your requirements and solve your problems in relation to any of the following:

Commercial law issues: business agreements, including partnership, agency and trading agreements and related documentation and general contractual business advice.

Company law issues: advice on all aspects of a company’s business from its basic corporate structure to the routine duties and responsibilities of running of a business or even more complex matters such as company reconstructions, sales or acquisitions.

Employment law matters: contracts of employment, compromise agreements, employee claims regarding unfair dismissal or discrimination, employment litigation, disputes between directors or shareholders or any other employment-related issue or problem.

Civil and Commercial Litigation: advice and assistance to both businesses and private individuals who are in dispute with third parties, leading to either a negotiated out of court settlement or, if necessary to protect your interests, representation in the courts.

Personal injury issues: we can assist you in any claim you may have for compensation as a result of injury or financial loss suffered due to the actions of a third party.

The Commercial Department has a wealth of practical and pragmatic experience on a comprehensive range of commercial and business issues and seeks to provide a very personal service to all its clients. It thereby aims to find answers and solutions for its clients who otherwise might be overwhelmed by the increasing burden which complex and ever changing legislation is bringing to bear on them.
