Services for Individuals & Families

Our family lawyers recognise that divorce or separation impacts on everything that you have built up.  Your property, assets, children and relationships with the wider family are all affected.  Very often, you will have to make important decisions at a time when emotions are high.

Our experienced team are understanding and approachable.  They will provide clear, professional advice and will help you to protect your interests at a time when you need it most.

Our aim will be to help you resolve the issues through negotiation or mediation.  However, if this is unsuccessful, we will represent you at Court robustly.

We are able to offer advice and assistance in respect of the following areas:
Divorce and Separation
  • Divorce proceedings to dissolve the marriage
  • Separation Agreements in relation to couples whose primary objective is to separate and regularise their affairs prior to any divorce proceedings
  • Dissolution of civil partnerships

We also offer advice in relation to pre-nuptial agreements, contracts between couples in anticipation of marriage. At present the courts do not consider them to be legally binding, however following recent case law, the courts have provided guidelines which lend real persuasion and weight when determining the intention of the parties during disputes.

The Family Department is leaded by Ian Lloyd and Patricia Wyeth, partners in the firm, who have many years experience of family law work.  Ian is a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel Advanced.

Please contact us for a discreet conversation on any matter relevant to your own personal circumstances.
