Landlord and Tenant

Whether you are a landlord letting out a property to an individual or a business or a tenant renting a property from an individual or a business, it is essential that you know your legal rights and obligations.

Landlord and Tenant law is there to protect both parties and must be your primary recourse when you have a tenancy problem. It is fairly commonplace for the occasional dispute to arise which cannot be settled by simple agreement. Such disputes can be kept to a minimum if you have a good tenancy agreement in place from the start of the landlord/tenant relationship.

This agreement can be varied at any time in accordance with the wishes of both parties and will typically be drawn up for an agreed period of time, after which it can be renewed, surrendered or simply ended.

We have a considerable number of years experience and expertise in this area of law and are able to give sound, practical and cost efficient advice on any or all of the following issues:
  • Tenancy Agreements
  • Tenancy Disputes
  • Lease Negotiations, Variations & Renewals
  • Subletting & Assignments
  • Rent Reviews
  • Dilapidations
  • Compensation Claims
  • Service Charges
  • Enforcements & Breaches of Covenant
  • Buy To Let
